Was wondering which brushroll I need to keep my eyes out for. I have this machine on it’s way and I was going to try and find a new brushroll for it! Thank you!

John,

You are looking for part no. 2-802259-000, which also has the BSI (brush speed indicator) light on it, but it is obsolete now. Good luck!

Is this a square end cap model? And can I use a non magnet style brush for it? I’m concerned that now I ordered this and I won’t be able to use it if the brushroll is in poor condition…

John,

Yes, it has the square-ended caps on it.

And yes, you can use a non-magnetized brush roll on it, and there were several available:
2-059721-000, 2-159273-000 - single bristle
2-080221-000, 2-180273-000, 2-675221-000 - double bristle (no stiffeners)
2-088221-000, 2-188273-000, 2-675227-000 - double bristle (with stiffeners)

There were two other Royal upright that used this original brush roll with magnet on it: the 996 and the 9700, from 1990 to 1992, since those two models also had the green BSI (brush speed indicator) light.

As to replacement belts:
1-044260-001

You may be the same person who I also just asked on YouTube haha. I’m excited to get this machine but also semi disappointed due to buying a model that’s difficult to get parts for. I know all of them are, but with this having square end and the bsi…

John,

Yes, I go by ClassicTVMan1981X there. I did respond to all your questions there.
