Hello. The vintage tristars are my favorite canister vacuums of all time- but they are too loud for me. I have a residential cleaning service and have stopped using them due to the decibels. Does anyone know if they can be modified? Can some sort of sound dampening material or spray foam be added to the interior?
Thx

If you put the "mushroom" HEPA filter on it, they quiet down to about half.

That was the first HEPA filter for a Tri-Star. I called it the Microwave Popcorn Popper filter. The second, smaller and neater one, is called the Mushroom Filter.
