Does anybody here actually have one of these vacuums? If so, how is the self propelled mechanism? I'm really curious about these. If you have a picture of the transmission that would be great to see!

Thanks, Garrett

I do but it's getting ready to go to another collector. It's interesting as it has a separate motor for the self propel.

I have one also

These are very fun machines! I’m a fan. They’re harder to find than the standard model. Someone buying this back in the day had to be okay with the weight of the damn thing!

Thanks very much for the pictures y'all! That's a huge self propel motor! If I spot one local, I wouldn't hesitate one bit to pick it up. I love these Whispertones without the self propelled mechanism but that just makes it so much better.

Best Regards, Garrett

I never knew there was an SP version of this vacuum. 3 motors must have made it a heavy beast. I did not know these were whisper tones either, I’ve only ever seen canisters with that label. The one I have is labeled Profomance cleaning system. Great machine, the wheels on the bottom of mine are missing otherwise I’d use it more often.
