I use one in mine all the time. It certainly won't hurt the machine.

I’ll agree with Morgan on that…

I have one in my CXL. The filter material is fairly rigid, which helps when the bag presses up against it. Although it might not be “certified HEPA”, that seems to mean very little these days since most manufacturers are now investing in their own independent testing. When you inspect this filter in person, you’ll see. I think you’ll be impressed.

woooow whata diffrence the pleated hepa  99,9%   0.03 micron  filter did on m Compact C8  and Tristar CXL !!!

most of  the effect notice on my C8  wooow motor sounds strong  TON of air flow  floor tool sticks to the floor  yesssss got her power back !!!! yippie and yes foam filter does lest  dust thru   on motor  case   and fans i notice a film  .

Also  new paper bag  , cloth  bag  , hepa  motor filter she is  pulling so much air and  suction i can feel it in the hose  again  .Good filtriation will  give a motor  the best  chance to last a long time  ,Dust in motor aka sand blast bearing then bye bye  motor.

Were get a bearing puller for it to ty

Post# 449858 , Reply# 12   2/3/2022 at 20:57 (804 days old) by Gvox (Georgia)

I use automotive bearing pullers.  But I work on cars and motorcycles so I have a range of tools to pull apart bearings.

The small ones work well.  If you don't work on cars, you can pick up a cheap one for around $20.   However, some chain auto parts stores like AutoZone will rent and sometimes lend you one.

You could probably make something like this work, www.harborfreight.com/8-i...

But I'd look for a 4"
