would an em-tor from a tradition fit this machine, or would something like a h2/legend fir better. I love the machine, but my only problem is that it does not use paper bags. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

All the best,
Avery.

Avery,

Yes, it is possible to change the bag system on this to a Heritage II-style (Style 3) setup.

The Original outer bag would go on to the other emtor correct?

Avery,

You can preserve the Omega's current outer bag but it will have to be slit down the middle in the back for the pseudo zipper to access the Heritage II's paper bag system.

Easy swap

I've done this swap on a couple of different machines, most recently on a Classic III that I acquired last summer. I had a complete H2 bag setup on hand so it was pretty quick and easy. I just had to swap the Classic III bag topper onto the H2 bag so it would connect to the handle without any further modification and is still completely reversible. The gray bag with red lettering looked quite smart on that machine but I later got hold of a Legend II bag, which I like even better.

I'm not sure which of the Heritage/Legend era bags would look best on a Classic Omega. An orange Heritage bag would be quite a statement. Another option, if you have the necessary skills or know someone who does, would be to acquire a second bag and add a zipper.

Well...

I ended up with a Heritage 1 Bag assy w/ emptor Also a handle to use the bag with the machine. In the future I plan to Swap the bottom plastic plate (if possible) to the classic omega color and fit a zipper to the original bag. Then attach the omega bag and topper to the H1 emptor So i can use the correct handle. (right now I have a classic omega bottom end with a bright orange H1 bag and gray handle). It looks a bit weird. Any advice is greatly appreciated. This is my first fore into pre-1979 Kirby Cleaners.
