the hoover convertible known as the senior in the UK, an AWA (1977) (australian wireless association) ad and the PYE range (1973)

Those "dust cassette" vacuums look very similar to many Japanese bagless vacs of the era (National Panasonic, Sanyo, Toshiba, etc). The electrified hose with the on/off switch on the handle is a dead giveaway. Therefore, I really think these were made in Japan...any Australians here who can shed some light on these cleaners?
