Each year I would always wish and hope that some companies would release something that's new, exciting, or even better than what their predecessor model(s) would be and so I'm curious to hear of what everyone is hoping would come out for next year in 2022. As for me? I'm wishing and hoping that TTI would resurrect their Royal UR32200PC (Oreck) lightweight bagged upright and rebrand it as the Dirt Devil. I would love to have the Dirt Devil brand re-enter the bagged market again and I think this would be a perfect candidate for a cheap bagged vacuum since Dirt Devil is known to be the cheaper household vacuum brand of TTI. I also would love if TTI could make this red instead of blue like the Royal version or at least make it black and put the red colored decals with white lettering logos on it like what H-P Products would do for Dirt Devil's central vac power units.

Alex....a Dirt Devil rebrand of a Oreck XL?!?! If David Oreck saw this, he would definitely disapprove. Maybe a vacuum perceived as lower end, like the Dirt Devil Featherlite, would be good to be redesigned again as a bagged Dirt Devil.

Hey that's a great name for the Dirt Devil clone of the Oreck, the Featherlite:) Cause afterall Orecks are known to be very light so I would think that'd be perfect for it! But as far as a redesigned bagged Dirt Devil would go, I have a hard time seeing that happening. It would be more costly, time consuming, and likely of a waste to design something new versus just picking something out that they already have in production and rebrand it. It's also something to test out for a short period of time to see of how well it would go. If lots of people would buy it, then they would continue on selling. But if not, then they can move on and stick with their bagless line since that's what most people would buy today are bagless vacuums. And what would David Oreck think? I would think he'd be over it already since both Hoover and Royal have rebranded the Orecks, it's not like they would ever get rid of his designs that made Oreck so famous. Anyways that's just my opinion.

I really like what dyson does yearly with coming out new cordlesses. I wasn't impressed with the v15 and that color scheme didn't impress me. I do hope Kirby comes out with a new model with a new name. Because god forbid we get avalir 3, which is realistically what we would call sentria 5. Then again avalir 2, realistically sentria 4. isn't really a color change. I hope if kirby comes out with a new model, rather it be a color change, please make it worth our wild, even if that mean coming out with new attachments or optional accessories. I do hope 2022 is something new for kirby, and I say that because avalir2 is going on 4 years. I also do hope Rexair comes out with something new, even though they came out with the SRX 2 years ago. I hope they come out with some new optional accessories.

As I’ve written once before, I hope Miele or Sebo or Electrolux or one of the other European manufacturers comes out with a very quiet Oreck clone that has high filtration, long cord and a second motor for the brushroll so it can be turned off for cleaning bare floors. No tools needed, just a really quiet Oreck clone for deep carpets and bare floors.

I know here in Canada there is a bagged Dirt Devil, it's called the Dynamite. Its a canister, cant find any information on it or on Dirt Devils website. I'm assuming it's a private label of something, can anyone recognize it? I saw it at Canadian Tire last week and was honestly surprised at how the canister felt, pretty hefty for it's size. Although the hose, tubes and floor tool felt god awful.

Here it is on Candian Tire's website

I'm looking forward to cordless vacuum technology improv

Corded vacuums will continue to have their place for the foreseeable future but cordless is where the action is today. I'm not a big Dyson fan but the V15 shows cordless vacuums are taking steps towards replacing corded vacuums every year. The V15 and V11 Outsize are the first cordless vacs to really have some performance numbers that are actually good. Hoover's Onepwr bagged upright is also interesting along with the Oreck pod. It's interesting seeing cordless direct air machines and I think cordless direct air machines may be answer to replacing corded vacuums eventually (for the average household). The only catch with direct air machines is that they have to be bagged as far as I know.

I've actually come around to accepting bagless machines even with their shortcomings. It's not that I like them, it just is what it is. People like feeling like seeing the dirt they pick up. It's a positive feedback loop that bags don't provide as easily.

Regarding vacuums I want to see in '22. I want to see more upright cordless options like the Shark Vertex Upright (successor to P50). Stick vacs are okay but I really like Shark's implementation of lift away designs. The Shark liftaways give you the benefits of both uprights and canisters.

The other things I want to see in '22 is newer and more modern designs from establishment vacuum companies. I'm talking about Kirby, Rainbow, Sanitaire, Riccar, etc. Sebo has a good vacuum with their Felix/Dart machine. Miele has some good vacs but I would like to see a better version, maybe bagged version, of the Triflex.

As far as I can tell, whole home carpet is dead and carpet is only being put in bedrooms, stairs, and other limited use situations. Hard floors seem to be the only thing in vogue currently and I don't see that changing anytime soon. With that, I would like see better hardfloor heads. The fluffy motorized rollers seem to be the best solution at the moment but they have to be cleaned frequently. Some of the brushed straight suction heads seem okay but they don't appear to outperform the fluffy heads. Vacuuming hard floors with a normal motorized brush head with the roller turned off seems almost worthless.

The reality is that a lot of dust on hard floors isn't going to be removed without some form of minimal agitation. Perhaps a company will develop some form of mild ultrasonic head or something that can use straight suction.

I'd like to see manufacturers come up with a better method for odor control than using fragrances or charcoal. Fragrances usually combine with the odor of the bag contents and then become part of something worse. Charcoal tends to not last very long because it loses its efficacy at every contact with odor sources in the bag. Dysonman1 is selling the Aura machine which has a built in ionizer and it would be great to see other brands jump on board using ionization.

Luxlife, I agree with you that odour control definitely needs improvement in today's vacuums. You're not going to convince someone to buy a bagged vacuum if it develops a bad smell from picking up stuff like dog or cat hair.

However, ionization is not a good solution besides charcoal filtration and using fragrances. The problem is ionizers produce ozone - bad idea! Whenever I am asked about air purifiers, I always tell anyone not to buy purifiers that use ionization or use metal collection plates instead of HEPA or ULPA filters with a charcoal pre filter for this reason. Even if it does eliminate or reduce odours from the vacuum, the artificial oxygen that ionization produces, plus the byproducts left in the air, cause harmful side effects to human health long term. I am sure Health Canada and the FDA would nix the idea of vacuums using ionization real quick! As for Aura producing their vacuum with ionization, I would imagine the FDA will pull it off the market once they are made aware of it. And I am totally dumbfounded of how companies like Aerus Electrolux can even be legally allowed to sell air purifiers with such technology....I doubt it will last for much longer.

What I can see being developed as a solution to vacuums producing bad odour is more bags and filters being manufactured with chemicals applied to the fabric that resist bacteria and odours forming or kills them entirely on contact. Or, like charcoal bags, the bag or filter would have a specialized fabric layer that does not allow the bacteria responsible for odours to form in the first place. Another idea would be to see specialized types of plastic used for vacuums that resists the bacteria responsible for odours, this would take it 1 step further than some brands (like Bissell) that treat the plastic with a chemical like Microban to resist bacteria and odours but eventually wears off.

I am more than ready for an all new Kirby Model to hit the market. They haven’t really changed the machines since 1990 minus a few small changes here and there. It’s time they introduced something new. The G series is perfectly fine and I like them. But it’s getting repetitive. I know they designed an all new machine in the early 2000s and it was slated to be put into production in the early 2010s I believe. I think it was going to bear the Avalir name. But they ended up scrapping the design for reasons I do not know. Hopefully something new comes out soon. Maybe right lane industries will make changes? Who knows.

@ KirbyCollector

Theres quite a bit of things kirby can do to improve on its current G-series machine. My biggest complaint is how loud the machine is. Its too loud and sometimes unbareble to listen too when usinng it. Another thing is its too bulky when its in the shampoo mode. People aren't going to be able to clean in hard to reach places with the way the current design is set up. Those are just some of the things I would like to see kirby work on for future models. I'm sure you all have seen previous post on various threads where I talk about the things I'd like for kirby to 'address"

I agree on bags - I'm tired of changing a bag and then the second time I go to use it already stinks!

Also would like to see more canisters - but being in the United States I expect that will stay a more niche market for Aerus, Miele, Tristar, maybe Oreck, Dyson and the like.

Hoover and TTI don't seem interested in canister market here.

@kirbylux77. I'll add a little here about ozone. I used to be in sales for ionization and ozone purifers....the ozone is NOT harmful when produced BELOW 50ppm (parts per million), they are very effective. I use my machines regularly even today ( getting rid of odors from cooking, cigars, stale closets etc). The ozone machines that apartment buildings (after tenants) and environmental cleanup companies ...are NOT safe to use with people in the rooms. THAT is where the reputation of them not being safe comes from. enjoy

Thank you very much rivstg1 for that clarification on ozone!

also to just add...

One thing I would like to see come out in 2022 other than a new kirby, is a redesign MiniJet attachment for the rainbow system. The current one is ok but it could use improvement. One of the imrprovements I would like to see is more brush heads. If you look at the many different brush heads that other companies like bissell and hoover have to offer with their hose type shampoo systems, you can see that many of them have more than one type of styles of brushes, unlike the minijet on the rainbow that just has the typical one row of bruhes behind the suction nozzel. I would like to see rexair come out with the following for the minijet:
1. A rotating spin brush similar to the hoovers spin brush. Or just a mini spin brush that way it can be like having a mini aquamate in the palm of your hands
2. A brush similar to the deep stain tool/ pet stain tool that bissell has, that injects the solution deep down.
3. A easy was to clean the hose once cleaning applications are done.
4. Also the handle is a little uncomportable when cleaning for extented periods of time, so a more comfortable handle would be desire.

Those are just some of the ideas I would like for rexair to improve on the minijet. They can improve on it and call it the minijet complete or the MiniJet 2. But this accessory has been out for a little while now and has had no improvement on it through the years but there is potential for it to improve on.

American Companies take back manufacturing in 22'

I'd like to see more American Companies owing the legacy brands that we have. Eureka, Hoover, Royal, Oreck and others back in the hands of the country that brought them to market. I'd like to see a valid Kirby competitor, yet I am also anxious to see what the new owners do with the Kirby Company as it exists today.

Interested to see what Bissell does with the Sanitaire Company.

The metal Royal uprights were a valid competitor to Kirby. I have several, and my 8300 model sucks up what's on the carpet, in the carpet, and under the carpet. I like them just as much as my Kirbys. It's a shame that TTi took over Royals and discontinued them.

Better colors….

For the Aerus Lux Legacy and Lux Classic. That black and dark gray is so drab and hideous to me. The platinum is now charcoal and white. I don’t need white per se…perhaps two tone peppier grays like the Silverado series had. They seem to have exhausted the coloring scheme. Maybe a light gray body with white trim would be fresh. I just need to be a consultant for Aerus at this point. They need to up the anti on advertising!

I’d like to see a few things. The first would be for Numatic to make an upright vacuum. It would also be nice if they introduced a canister with a power nozzle like the Henry hound had. I feel that either one of these products would make them sell better here in the U.S. Another thing I’d like to see would be a Sebo X or G series upright with the ability to turn off the brush roller. Last but certainly not least, I would love it if Aerus Electrolux would reintroduce a metal bodied canister like the 1205, but with a more powerful modern motor.

But I’ve heard from several different sources that say they caught wind of some kind of all new Kirby model mentioned by some Kirby Reps recently. Watch it be another recolored sentria, I mean avalir. If you think of the past 20 years+ specifically, has anyone ever notice that whenever kirby releases a "new model" then rexair releases a new one the following year and vice versa. I'm dying to hear what this new kirby is suppose to be. I'm also curious to what names they'll come up with for future models.

Can you share what you've heard of about this supposably new model? if anything at all.

If kirby does release a new model, let alone a new platform I do hope they bring back the video owners manual. When they did away with that and made those short clips videos I thought those were pointless and useless. I like the video manuals better.

All I’ve heard is that it’ll be an all new model that will be different than the G series. That it’ll be what the next several models in the coming years will be based off of. I’ve also read something about there being long lasting cogged belts and such. If all this is indeed true, I’m very interested to see how it’ll be.

Interesting! Although yikes about the cogged belts, jam the roller once even for a couple seconds and either the motor jams up or the belt is destroyed. I'd like to see something like Kenmore's powerhead belts, which have vertical grooves. That way if it jams, it will take a lot longer to burn out than a flat one.

This is very interesting. Can someone explain to me what a cogged belt is? I also do hope they reworked the accessories, especially the shampoo system. I say that because it’s to wide and bulky to get into hard to reach spaces with, especially the avalir version. I also do hope they work on the acoustics because Kirby’s are way too loud, especially in canister mode. With this news getting out, I do hope they “launch” it soon.

Post# 449150 , Reply# 36   1/9/2022 at 18:29 (834 days old) by juju93 (South Georgia)

The real question is when? I mean if word is already getting out about it then they might wanna do something soon. Yeah but when kirby launches a new model their kind of hush hush about it till it gets out on the web. Hell thats how I found out about the avalir 2, which was on here. The same can be said about the avalir and sentria 2. When I found out about the original sentria it was via ebay back in 2006 when it had first launched. The point I'm trying to make is that kirby doesn't really do any launch type videos and pics and if they do its typically for some sort of event. Granted if this is supposably a new platform/design then yeah I can see them doing some sort of launch video. Granted they might do what they did with the G3 and show a short lauch clip within the owners manual video (Hopefully they'll have one for this model). Hopefully this model will address the following things that I would like to see:
1. ditch the sentria look
2. reduce the acoustics
3. scale down the size of the shampoo system.
4. scale down the weight, because it will be benefitcal if using it in the portable mode.
5. no more black, or grey color schemes
6. launch new optional accessories and make em stick around (in reference to them getting rid of the sentria handi butler not even a year after it was launch)
7. Bring back the videos owner manual, but take time mentioning things and not rushing through it (referring to both sentria 2 and the avalir's videos manual.

Another thought for a new Kirby-----Go CORDLESS-with modern battery and motor tech this could be possible!I am also for the return of the video manual on a DVD-just about everybody has a DVD player of some sort or one in their computers. Also in the DVD-DITCH the ugly furnishings you see in the last one Kirby made.If SkilSaw can make a cordless battery powered worm drive circular saw-I think a similar motor could be used in a vacuum. The Skil brushless motor can develop over 1800W-more than the plug in model.!!!The saw runs from a special 48V lithium battery.Indeed the saw is a BEAST!!!Have one!

I'm just ready for something new. I mean we've basically had the same machine for 16 years with a differnt color scheme and or different name and the more and more we have of it, the less interest people will have in it and the more likly they'll end up in pawn shops or online selling sites for pennies on the dollar. And the platform itslef is going to be 32 this year. I can't understand why now they decided to finally release a new platform, if this is true. I mean I can see them doing it in 2020 starting a new decade with a new platform, like what they did with the G3 back in 90. I can also see the pandemic also playing into a factor for why they haven't launched it. However we're still in a pademic and its not getting any better. I'm also intrested in what new attachments and or optional accessories that they have coming out for future models. I truly do hope with modern technology and online forums, that kirby, themselves, looks online and sees what people are saying about their current G-series machine and how they can improve on them. Because I know for quite of bit of times that I've mentioned what should be changed and or added. I do hope somehow or someone in that group post something soon.

With Warren Buffet ditching Kirby and the door to door sales method, I'll bet real money there is No New Kirby coming out. Where would the millions and millions of dollars to tool up for a new model come from? They can barely sell the ones they have now. Your doorbell rings and two masked strangers are standing on your porch in the middle of a terrible pandemic, wanting entrance to your home and access to your family. To sell you an overpriced dud of a vacuum cleaner. WAY overpriced dud. Who allows that today?

Most people who clean their homes today want a cordless stick vac they hang on the wall. "Old fashioned" machines and cleaning ideas are long dead. Young and old alike want light weight stick vacs. Just ask them. That's what they're buying.

Warren Buffett was smart to dump Kirby. Kirby has soiled it's reputation with unscrupulous sales practices over the years. The poor consumer/user reviews are a getting worse as Kirby has failed to modernize. Kirby has very little appeal for the consumer with a modern home having very little wall to wall carpeting.

I bet Kirby will keep making the G series for as long as they want to I remember when the avalir was about to launch and some of us got very excited because we thought it was going to completely new but it was just another boring G series I think there’s never going to be a completely new Kirby

Kirby and low furniture….

It still won’t reach under the bed even after all the innovations and model changes.

I mean if they keep the G series that’s fine (not really). But change somethings up on it, that way it doesn’t keep looking like a recolored sentria. By that I mean change the shape of the belt lifter and change the headlight hood.

Just some things that I'd like to add

panasonicvac's profile picture
Reply #8, I also agree with you as well. Hopefully we'd see an upgrade with settling down odors coming out of bagged portable vacuums (That's usually not a problem with central vacuums). I love certain vacuums like the Hoover Concept Two or the Royal Everlast 8300 for example that uses scent doors that makes the vacuums smell fresh as you're vacuuming. I also like the scent tabs that you can always swap out for another when they wear out like the Oreck ones for example. And I did liked the smell of Febreze bags, but unfortunately I find that not only the smell doesn't last for very long but also the bags filter terribly as well.

Reply #23, actually NaceCare did used to distribute some upright vacuums here before. It looks like they don't anymore or at least not now. Not to mention that they even used to use Sebo powerheads before as well or at least not now either. This is what one of their upright vacuums looks like: www.amazon.com/NaceCare-M...

And finally, I think I agree with Tom here. I don't think a new Kirby would come anytime soon. Plus, I'm totally alright with the current Kirby design. I honestly don't think that they need to change anytime soon. And with reviews like these, I think the Avalir 2 still meets up with today's standards that consumers would like to have from a vacuum cleaner. Though if there's one thing that I'd like to see Kirby do, I hope that they can bring back the Vacuette handheld vacuum.

Here's my thoughts. If rexair can redesign the E-series and come out with the SRX platform, then who's to say that Kirby can't redesign the G-series and come out with something new. The G-series, in my opinion, is beyond its experation date to the point where we can go to our local pawn shops and online sites and get them for pennies on the dollar, but yet kirby doesn't seem to realize it and they still continue to make G-series machines. Say a dealer goes to a home that already owns a kirby (more specifically a G-series) and the dealer tries and sell an avalir 2. Those people aren't going to really wanna buy it since its not much different than the machine they already have. My point is, if kirby is going to come up with a new model they better do it in the near future, especially with how modern technology plays into how we clean our homes these days. Don't get me wrong the G-series is a great kirby platform but it needs a lot of modification, which I've mentioned numerous times. Also the G-series isn't all that user friendly for people who are elderly. I just hope something happens soon because I'm tired of seeing the same recolored 2006 modeled getting minor changes here and there and then getting relaunched as a new model when reality its just a 2006 sentria changed up a bit. And if you really wanna get technical its just a recolored and renamed 1990s G3.

I’d like to see an American company make a Miele quality vacuum at a price Europeans pay for their Mieles. As Americans, pay a hefty price for a Miele. Much more than Europeans do. It be nice if American company could offer the same.

Okay this sounds very exciting but iv got a very very bad feeling that this is all made up to get us very excited about another colour change but if this pilot model does come out il be over the moon

Post# 449414 , Reply# 55   1/21/2022 at 12:35 (822 days old) by Juju93 (South Georgia)

Idk why he’s referring it as a pilot model, especially since it’ll be considered next gen, if that. I kind of believe it because most of the time Kirby does release a new model in June, primarily with the sentria in June of 2006 and the sentria 2 in June 2012. However I don’t see the potential for onboard tools as that kind of defeats the purpose of the Kirby with its multi purpose power plant. As well as controls at the handle. Then how would it be converted to a portable cleaner, which I’m sure people don’t use it as that anymore due to its heavy weight. Also it’ll just make it a little more heavier than what it’s already. That’s the part I have doubt on.

My question for the community is, is he a reliable source and if he is, are his sources reliable. I tried finding this post in the group but couldn’t find it.

I definitely would like to see Bissell sell the BG1000 under the Sanitaire brand. Sanitaire used to have Aerus make the SC6600 and SC6610 for them, I thought it was a business mistake to discontinue them because they were in my opinion one of the best Sanitaires ever sold. But now that Bissell sells the clone of the Aerus under the Big Green commercial line, I hope they would also get to sell it under the Sanitaire brand as well.

@kirbyg6

I agree with you. If its not quieter then I'm not interested. Thats a big turn off with kirby's in general is how loud they are. We as consumers or just people in general associate sound with power. The louder the machine, the more powerful it is, an now in days thats not true. Quieter machines are just as powerful if not more powerful than really loud machines.

I do hope for the love of God its not another shade of grey or black. I hope they come out with a color scheme/pattern scheme that is going to grab consumers interest.

@KirbyCollector

Where did you see this? Because I didn't see anything posted in the kirby facebook group about this. Also this makes me wonder what the MRSP for this system is going to be. Also I wonder if kirby is going to release any new optional accessories. I say this because they can go beyond the MS3, Turbo Accessory and Zippbrush. I would include the tile and grout brush and miracle shine but those shouldn't really apply because they only apply to the MS3.

There's no new Kirby coming down the line. With the sale to Right Lane Industries, there's no millions of dollars for research as well as dies and tooling up for a new model. Never happen. I worked for Tacony for a decade and I see how long and what it takes to launch any new model. Besides, if you look at the patent for the "new" kirby, they let it expire due to non-payment of the yearly renewal fee.

We’ll see what happens. Maybe we’ll get another recolored Sentria, as always. Get an all new model, which would be exciting. Or nothing will happen at all. Anything could happen at this point.

I just have several things to say and ask also. Kirby could've had this model design and completed for god knows how long and they probably were going to launch it sooner than expected They probably didn't want a repeay of what happen with the G3 back in 1990 when it launched and it had a lot of issues with its transmission. They also probably took into account the recall issue that rexair had with the SRX a few year ago after it launch. I feel like if they are releasing a new platform then they want it to not have any issues or recall concerns like what they had back in 1990 with the G3 or what rexair experience a few years ago with the SRX. My question is why are they waiting till June to release this "new model". Is there some sort of event that happens in the vacuum community that takes place in June? I'm also curious to what color and what they'll name this "new model". Just because they sold the company to right lane industries doesn't mean they couldn't have had this machine in the works for some time. It also doesn't mean we'll get stuck with the G-series/sentria/avalir systems forever.

If TTI still has the design, tooling, and moldings. I would hope they would bring back either the Hoover Platinum Collection UH30010COM/Royal Pro-Series UR30095 or the Hoover Clean & Light U4707/ Royal Lightweight Upright RY6400, and just slap the Dirt Devil name/colors on them. In my opinion I think they're better than some Orecks that I've used before. They also would get more competitive to some other lightweight uprights that are on the market today. And probably would make David Oreck feel a little better about not having the Dirt Devil brand on his Orecks lol. Anyways, just a thought.

I would love for TTI to bring back those classic metal uprights:) Whether it's under the Hoover Commercial, Oreck Commercial, or even if TTI creates the Dirt Devil Commercial line. I would prefer them to be under the Dirt Devil brand since it's technically Royal's sister brand. Though I don't think they would revive the Royal brand again, I doubt it's a popular brand nowadays.

As a Huge fan of upright vacuums I must admit that their is nothing I am really looking forward to.
Firstly Here in South Africa our market is cylinder ( canister ) and cordless based.

We get very few uprights, outside sebo, kirby and vorwerk their are 2 on our market.

Dyson is now completly cordless in our market and while I love my v11 I still prefer a plug in upright vacuum.

I have to say that the current vacuum market does not bring any excitement to me any more. I dont even know when I last walked down the vacuum isle at a shop.

I saw the nex sebo x7 yesterday and while I am sure its very good ( I have a x4 as my daily at home ) I can see no reason for uprgading from my x4. They even look the same almost ( aside from the headlight ) but it has a less powerful motor. Its kind of like looking at the new Toyota Camry over the old one , Yawn Why bother upgrading its never going to break down.

A new Kirby would be nice to see if its acually new and not a re colored version of a 30 year old design, I seem to think that Kirbys chief engineer used to work at Buick, Think Century 83 to 95

Good to hear from you Gareth! I always find it interesting how here in the US, it's the opposite, while cordless vacs are also very common here, uprights (or at least traditional uprights along with crossover type vacs like Shark style) are far more common than cylinder/canisters. I wouldn't say canisters are totally unheard of, but in a typical department store retail/big box environment, they are rarely seen.

Well, unfortunately I didn't get to see my wish(s) come true this year. And I even highly doubt that'll ever happen, at least not anytime soon. However though, I was very excited to see Bissell step up and release their new dual motor commercial uprights that are made by Lindhaus, I like them better than their predecessor models. And, I was very excited to see the new Karcher Ranger upright that's made by Sebo. Anyways, for next year I'm going to make another wish and this one is for sure going to be granted because it's expected to come out soon. John the CEO from SEBO America confirmed to me that Sebo will be showing off their own version of the Karcher Ranger at the VDTA convention in April and should be shipped out to dealers by May. I'd like to add both the Sebo and the Karcher Ranger to my collection cause I don't know how long they'll last in the market. That was my mistake when Shop-Vac came out with their Easy Lift upright because I didn't realize they weren't going to last for very long in the market and have wanted to add one in my collection during the time but I didn't unfortunately.

Even if you don't have pets...vacuum bags will get that stale smell after a bit even before the bag needs changing... I always HATED that and would always change the bag before it needed it... but not anymore thanks to those activated charcoal pellets... years ago I bought this big canister of it for like $14 and I have over half of it left...Literally all you do is suck up a little bit every week or so...it takes 2 seconds and the bag literally never smells. Now, I can't say this would work with a dog... but it worked with my cats (which I no longer have)

I too hate the fragrances that mix with the bag smell and make it worse. Activated charcoal is the absolute best for me.

but even better is using my rainbow... It always smells soo good
