The cropped-eared queen is back with another tale of vacuum collecting!

Dateline: 18 November 2021, 4:00 PM. It's a bitterly cold day. The house smells like Neenah-Menasha (my housemate was cooking with cauliflower), so I decided to go and try to fill up my tires at the Kwik-Trip. I get to the free air station and notice that it's too dang cold to fill up my tires. The Saint Vincent De Paul thrift store I mentioned in a previous post (post #446733) is right next door, so I thought I'd treat myself. The store closes in 15 minutes, so I kick up my feet and head downstairs.

Here's a photo of the selection they had. If I had disposable income, I would have grabbed that Filter Queen Princess II. But I don't, so I grabbed the two Hoovers. Speedrun Timer: 06:21:29 (nice).

Picture of the Hoovers in the back of my truck after arriving home. I had to torture the wheels because I wasn't strong enough to lift them out to the car. A kind older gentleman helped me get them up the stairs in the store, though. Thank you, kind stranger!

1997 Hoover Dimension U5209-930. Apologies for using camera flash so much in these pics, but I have plans for the next 2 days and wanted to show these to y'all ASAP.

Picture of the rear of the Dimension. I'm not a fan of the non-exposed wheels. They look nice, but they make going down a flight of stairs difficult.

Picture of the right side of the Dimension. The attachment popped out when I put it in my truck. Not a problem, but I thought it was weird.

Picture of the height adjustment of the Dimension. I'm not sure if it's supposed to look like that or if it broke off some years ago? I quite like the overly-'90s font used here.

Picture of the height adjustment for the WT. If the Dimension has a performance rating of 19, and the WT has a rating of 25, then what does an old Kirby rate? 500?

Picture of the manual. The store threw in a manual for a newer model because the employees don't do anything more than glance at them. If anyone needs the manual for a 2008 Wind Tunnel, I might be able to hook you up.

WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS AUGH

And, yes. That's a fridge in the background. I might make a post in the Household section of the website but I'm having a hard time caring because I'm wanting to move town.

Picture of the receipt. Only cost me $21.10. Sorry for the photo quality - my camera was fogging up.

That's all from me for now, before I disappear back into the aether. And remember this - $20 is $20!

Great finds! The transparent Windtunnels I believe were their top of the line models. The brushroll on the Windtunnel is fairly worn down but its not too bad yet. The Dimension is a well-loved model by a lot of collectors, and its in really nice shape too. Those tool caddy doors are usually always broken off and either taped on or gone.

I would have grabbed the filter queen. It’s a much better vacuum in my opinion.

Oh, I know it's a better vacuum, Kloveland. But it's too expensive for me. I'm still trying to financially recover from buying a Kirby for the same price last summer!
