I’m picking up an aerus guardian 90th anniversary upright tomorrow for 100$ maybe. I’m meeting the person selling it from an estate sale and looks to be in good condition for the photos. We will see! Unfortunately I don’t think it’s coming with any attachments. Has anyone seen cloth hepa bags for these? Also do any of you have one of these machines and what are your experiences with it!

John that's a great price! Even without a hose and tools. You can always find a nice used electric hose and tools on Ebay.

Evacuumstore does have HEPA Style U bags for the Electrolux uprights, but they would be expensive for the quality you get. What I would suggest doing is save a couple cardboard tops and find another bag to work with it. I would think the Hoover Type Y HEPA bag would fit and work well.

I’m really excited! I have been looking for attachments but can’t seem to find them online. She said it did have a hose and it sounds like she tried to describe the crevices tool. I told her though that I need to see it in person before I make a final decision.

John....you're kidding me, right? That's a cureent model. Jump on it!! That's a STEAL you got there! Don't worry about the tools, you can get those later.

Run don't walk

That's a great deal and is worth alot more especially since they just discontinued that model. If you need tools let me know I might be able to help.

You will be able to find the tools/hose at some point and that model can use the hose from several of previous models--however the color may be different.

At that price GET IT! I bought one NIB a few years ago and I LOVE it. Aerus/Lux sped up the RPM's of the motor and it is IMO the best of their uprights. Plus, if you use the suggested HEPA bags with the premotor filter and the post motor filter the machine will not be leaking any traceable amount of dust.

You will love it!

Standard upright discontinued?

Say it isn't so! As much as I like the onboard wand on my proteam 1500xp which is very similar to a lux I know the onboard wand design is known to clog partially due to the narrowing airpath and that new design doesn't appear to support an electric hose either, but perhaps I'm wrong. Lux tried an onboard wand design with the 4000/6000 series I had a lux repairman tell me he hated those due to clogging and it seems like Aerus is repeating their mistake. I think the onboard wand is great for commercial machines but getting rid of their standard upright just seems like a mistake

Either way definitely pick that up. Those JEI motors are a touch shrill but definitely packs more punch than the majority of older lux uprights. It's not a sealed machine as I could feel exhaust coming out near the inlet at the bottom of the motor housing but if using hepa bags it's not that big a deal.

I just posted a video on my YouTube channel of this. A little bit of a backstory which is kind of interesting. I want to get it serviced and I explain that in my video! So very I’m very impressed with it! Very very quiet too!

What a find, congrats! It's very rare to find many expensive vacuums like this in such excellent condition at a unbelievable price! Now even though I would recommend a ProTeam or a Perfect copy over the Guardian, I still would buy the Lux for myself personally.
