We've moved to new house in April, had new carpets fitted and choose Felix as our vacuum.
I've only changed the bag once, after vacuuming freshly laid carpet.
What is really upsetting that the carpet has flattened in many places.
We picked a very soft and quite thick carpet thinking it would look and feel nice for a long time with a nice vacuum but it turns out we might've just used Miele with turbo brush.

Is it a normal thing or Felix doesn't really do a good job? I need to use it on setting 4 with suction about halfway through.
Another thing that came to my mind, maybe its brushroll is a bit too strong for the carpet?

Don't know what it exactly kind of carpet it is but this is what it looks like.

As a recent Felix owner myself, and someone who owns 5 Miele canister vacuums with powerbrushes, my answer is yes, they are good! In fact, it's one of the few bagged upright vacuums I would recommend, largely due to it's versatility and the fact you can use a floor brush on it instead of the powerhead for hard floors.

Hi
The carpet you have looks like iSense carpet which I have in 2 bedrooms. I’ve been using SEBO since 2007 with my first machine a Felix Classic which is still going strong after 14 years. I’ve got an X4 and X7 which I mainly use on my iSense carpets (thick dense pile carpet) and it lifts and grooms the pile with ease! I’ve only used my Felix a few times on this carpet fine. The Felix uses the same brush roll as the Automatic X machines. SEBO are one of the few in the UK that will cope with thick dense high pile carpets. I’d say if you use your Felix on height setting 3 or 4 on 3/4 power setting should be fine. Lifting and grooming the carpet pile ok.

I take it you had the carpet fitted yourself? Plus you brought the SEBO Felix from new?

That carpet looks as though it is a synthetic type carpet, such as polypropylene or polyester? And it looks to be normal depth carpet.

Two things come to mind:

(a) the carpet might not be suitable for hard-wear areas such as lounge and hallway; i.e. liable to show wear quite readily. It might only be rated for bedroom or occasional duty. Certain shoes (e.g. trainers) can snag, twist and fuzz the pile of carpets. And the pile will flatten in high traffic areas.

(b) I would caution against a cylinder vacuum, even with an air-powered turbo brush. They barely tickle the surface, don't do a decent job of reactivating the pile, can stall readily, the turbo-brush brushroll can bounce off the carpet pile, and it takes at least twice as long to clean the carpet as an upright machine. Very unsatisfactory in my personal experience.

The upright should work fine. Try height setting 2, and power up to full.

Personally, I think they are good vacuums. They're not perfect, no vacuum is. But I don't think anything would stop me from buying or recommending one to anybody.
