Motor will need your typical service due. Total disassembly and clean or replace bearings, inspect motor shaft, possibly new motor brushes, fresh grease, new belts, etc etc. Also inspect fan for damage, wear to the blades, or wobble. The Concept One is a great vacuum and a venerable tank when fully operational. $5 is a very good deal. I paid $10 for my Concept One at Goodwill and $130 for my Concept Two on eBay.

As above they are loud, great and 1978. Bags--Type A,best with better micron filter.Y or Z can be used as they have same size opening. I have seen very few Concepts with fan problems as compared to 100s of broken/cracked Convertible & Elite fans. |
