Back a couple months ago, I was in McHardy Vacuum here in London, Ontario picking up a couple parts for a Miele canister vacuum. While browsing the store, noticed they had a Miele Quickstep and the Sebo Felix Kombi in Onyx and the Rosso version.

When I saw the price tag on it, I knew I just HAD to have it! Having owned a Sebo canister before, and having heard so many good things about the Felix, I figured why not try it and even if I didn't like it, I could always sell it locally for a tidy profit. And besides, one feature that sold me on it was the ability to turn it into a stick vacuum with the floor brush. Being a apartment dweller, that feature to me was key, and the reason I have come to prefer canisters over uprights in general.

I paid $100 CDN plus tax = $113 CDN out the door for a Sebo Felix Kombi 4 with all the attachments. And yes, it still came with the 5 year warranty for that price. This has a MSRP of $399 CDN on Sebo Canada's website. For what I paid, I definitely stole this one!! :-).

It came standard with the upholstery tool, crevice tool, and combination rug/floor nozzle. I found a gently used ET1 powerhead for $150 on Ebay, and picked up the Parquet floor brush, tool adapter and also a central vacuum adapter for the powerhead which allows it to be used with standard 1.25 inch/32mm wands. The dusting brush came from a Panasonic Optiflow canister I picked up a few years back from Value Village for parts.

So, why was this so cheap? Well, the dealer I normally deal with, G.R. Smith Vacuum here in London, which is now the Sebo authorized dealer, told me that McHardy had been caught by Sebo for selling vacuums signifigantly below the MAP Price the dealer is contractually agreed to selling the vacuum for. When I went into G.R. Smith to but the additional accesories and told them the price I paid, they were shocked!
