I just bought my first prewar vacuum--a Hoover Model 26, in a thrift shop in Kelso, WA for $15! It appears to have a later bag (with a Hoover paper bag) on it, from I'd guess around 1980-90. The cord appears to be one from a Dial-a-Matic. I'm curious what an original bag would look like, and what other outer bags would work as a replacement. I'm also curious if anyone has any reproduction bags available for it (would they be the shake-out kind?)
I'd love to know everything all of you know about the Hoover 26. Thanks! Nick |

This is what the original Hoover model 26 bag looks like. I can make a reproduction bag for it. I make a ton of bags for my own and some friends cleaners. Feel free to email me if interested.

I'd definitely be interested in a new bag. Shoot me an email with the price, to texbodemer (at) Gmail (dot) com.
The Home Depot did a fantastic job of paint matching. The motor and fan are in beautiful shape! |
