I found this at a thrift store in 2019 for $10 and all it needed was a new belt.

The tradition looks good.
I just got back from Oceanside where I vacationed. I visited a thriftstore Disabled veterans or DAV store. They had.an oreck for $20. I then researched and found a thriftstore in Vista called goodwill retail and donation center. This was the coolest thrift store I've ever been to. It had a sentries with attachments maybe the sha.pooer for $69 it was in good shape too. They had an ultimate g same del with attachments $59.99. They had a Regina mid 1960s carpet shampoo and floor polisher I don't recall the price but $20 or less. They also had a Miele that said parts won't turn on. It looked to be good condition but I didn't investigate. If I could've messed with the Miele I may have bought it as there not cheap. They had a few other vacuums. They had a ryobi cordless weed Wacker without a battery for $16. I have a ryobi 4AH battery but didn't buy it as I wasn't sure it broke down and shipping would've been more than its worth $100.
They had star wars plush toys that were $9.00 worth $14. There pants were insane. I got Levi's in good condition for $9. I got a nice pair of Lucky Jeans for $6.00.
If you have not been you should go. It's at the end of highway 78 coming westbound its a mile an a half west of the end of 78. IIRC Fallbrook is just at the same end of 76 where it connects to I15. Which means so you could get there in 10 minutes.
Ya nice vacuum and have you visited the store I just mentioned?

Ah, from one Ben to another...

I have a 1979 Kirby Tradition 3CB myself...

Let's see: does yours also have the lock on the headlight cap?

Mine is the bagged version from 81 but the only difference is the bag and the motor (I think)

Ben (WindsorFan),

The fan on yours is plastic (11-blade Lexan), instead of the ten-blade aluminum one mine has.
