I recently picked up a Discovery II for free, and it has some structural issues. The white(now yellow) top cover for the head of the vacuum completely crumbled. The bumper is still intact on the base of the head, so no worries there. Does anyone know where I might find a new head cover? It doesn't have to match, as long as it will fit. The only one on eBay that isn't attached to an outrageously priced parts vac has a headlight cover, which mine does not have.
Thanks! |

Yeah, parts on eBay are often ridiculously expensive although one occasionally does find a bargain flying under the proverbial radar. You might monitor shopgoodwill.com and see what turns up. Vacuums typically go much cheaper there than on eBay. Also, check local thrift shops as you never know what might turn up. Also vacuum shops may have parts donors in the back that they might let you pick the bones of. I believe the cover with the headlight would fit your machine. You could either leave the headlight dark or figure out where to splice in the wiring to add the headlight, which shouldn't be too difficult.
