I simply love this model! I have a gold model L with cordwinder, and IMO this is what a vacuum should sound like. I prefer the teal over all the other colors, and I will pay a fair price for a mint or near mint example. It needs to include the original hose and all accessories. An airtight original hose, pigtail electric or not, will command a premium. That is not a must because I already have a pigtail electric hose.

Thanks for your consideration!

What are you willing to pay? I have New in the box teal Model L's and some New unboxed L's and some beautiful rebuilt L's. Some with all attachments and some just the tank only.

Let's talk, as I don't know the market price

Will up to $600 get me anything? I love the old Electroluxes, but the teal model L is the only one I'm willing to pay a lot for. Funny thing, I didn't grow up with this model or anything like that. I first encountered one when I was age 20, and I immediately took a liking to it.

I would want one with a cord reel, and sorry I failed to mention that in my original post. But, I will gladly take one with a halo if that is what you have available. I would consider most of your options - boxed, unboxed, but I don't want a rebuilt L because of the riveted tag. They are as good as factory new but why couldn't they have put that tag underneath?

I hope I have given you enough information to reply.

Joel

I have one. I got it when I was eight years old. It hasn’t been used in more than 50 years.

Well this explains some things

Thanks for sharing the images. One hardly ever sees a vacuum so nice on the auction sites. Clearly, the really nice examples are in the hands of collectors. I hope that someone will be willing to put one of them into my modest collection.

Best regards,

Joel

Thank you

I look forward to your reply. Are there other (pre-1205) models that you have available? I'm particularly interested in the E and the AE.

Any interest in my Model L with pistol grip electric hose and telescopic wand? With the original box. This is an extremely rare version from Spring of 1968.

Dysonman1, yes

Depends on the price of course. When I moved to PA I swore I would no longer collect vintage vacuums, but here I am up to 7. I really don't need this but it is one sweet machine. I didn't react to your original post because I didn't read it as an offer to sell. I just thought you were showing a favorite vacuum.

Is the hose airtight? I know leaky braided hoses are common, but my recently-acquired 1205 has its original electric hose, and it is airtight. And may I ask why you're willing to part with this when it's so rare and you've had it so long?

Thanks,

Joel

Still interested

Vacman1961 and dysonman1, is there some magical incantation I need to utter in order to move forward, or some kind of union card I need to show?  embarassed  I studied at Hogwarts and can wave my wand with the best of 'em.

Thanks,

Joel

To Dysonman1

A price please?  I'm in email exchanges with vacman1961, but I like your model L too.  My email is available, so please let me know.

Dysonman1, please respond

Hi Tom, my conversations with vacman1961 aren't getting past the point of me saying yes.  Are you still willing to sell this vacuum?  Please respond with a price.  My email address is visible in my profile.  Thanks.

Dysonman1, never mind, we closed a deal

I decided to bite the bullet and get the NIB teal L that vacman1961 was offering. Main unit and attachments never used, nearly new PN-1, airtight original electric hose. I do appreciate your offer to sell the one you've had since you were a child.

Best wishes,

Joel
