Hello,
I recently found a Hoover Quikbroom at a garage sale and it looks like it was made sometime in the early 90s. The seal around the inside of the machine where the dirt cup sits is sticky and has mostly disintegrated...it almost has the consistency of tar. I've looked for a replacement gasket and haven't found one, I'm guessing because it has been discontinued for so long, I won't have any luck finding anything for it. Does anyone have any solutions or recommendations on what I could use instead? I've added a picture of what my machine looks like. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Could you post a pic of the seal area? I'm thinking maybe some weatherstrip might work.
