I was on Aerus's website today just for fun and I noticed something. They came out with a new commercial upright with on-board tools which looks exactly like the Perfect, Clean Obsessed, and Lavex version. Assuming that Aerus probably got it imported from them unless if I'm mistaken. And the Guardian Platinum canister has a new look in terms of colors that is.

Nothing. Just a color change. No new advancements or styles at all. So VERY disappointing. |

And that two-tone color scheme looks like what it is-a mismatch. |

Hard to tell for sure with the music playing, but I thought I heard a newer style motor in that model. Almost sounded like a Sebo motor |

The power nozzle in that video is CLEARLY quieter, unless it is just something with the video sound quality. Certainly sounded less screechy. Now if we can just get Aerus to build a WHOLE machine themselves... |

Just like most of the door to door companies slight changes.
The hose/wand/nozzle doesn't mesh well with the machines. I think the machine body looked better in black though. It's interesting to see that onboard hose design return to them. Though it's not too surprising commercial cleaners would want on onboard hose for corners, tight spaces, and above the floor applications. It was wise to place the filter on the side of the "L" so that it does not get torn off. I do have to wonder if they've made any changes to the airpath on it. I know the proteam uprights were known to clog at the wand due to it's airpath narrowing at that point |

Have they come up with something to cut the hair off of the brushroll? |

Hi Rex, I may not be the biggest fan of bagless either. But with the Centralux, I think I could possibly get away with handling one if I were to get one for myself to use. This user when the video was filmed, the Centralux never had motor problems. Also, I believe the current Centralux model is assembled in the states again. At least that's what the manual states but I could be mistaken.

I don’t think that’s a new guardian ultra pictured, rather it’s a frankenvac if you will. Too many parts don’t match up, just my guess. I’ll call that dealer to find out. |

I honestly wouldn't mind. Afterall I've used and serviced a Centralux before so I would already know of what I'd be up against. And I do love servicing vacuums too. With a Centralux and these aftermarket filters, I'd save on not having to buy as many replacement bags. Plus I could empty mine out and washer the filter at anytime I would want to. And if I accidently sucked something up by accident like jewelry for example, I can easily look through and retrieve it without having to empty the bin out. Also, the E130A from the video has the same Ametek Lamb motor that Aerus continued to use until the release of the E130K which is the current model that came out back in 2014 I believe. That Ametek Lamb motor I think is a good motor. If well taken care of like that user's Centralux, it could last longer than you'd think. But I'll have to admit, I'm impressed with the performance level that the newer one has with it's upgraded 13 amp motor. It's still the only Lux that I'd buy out of all the other models that Aerus would have to offer me.

That vacuum in question is a customer from California that brought it in for service, not a new guardian ultra model. |

Aerus LLC makes its own hoses, power nozzles, wands, and attachments. Of course they want to sell their own. There is no reason why they should feel the need to import this from Lux International. All they would have to do is modernize and build upon their Classic and Legacy models and they would have top of the line machines. |
