Hi!
I was hoping someone could show me what instruction manuals for each generation of Eureka F and G upright look like. I bought one (Part No. 49157B) on yellow cardstock that appears to be mimeographed (it's all in blue ink). Did Eureka sell manuals for their older machines? Did Eureka provide dealers with reproduction manuals for trade-ins? Also, when did Eureka launch the 1400 series? Nick |

There are plenty of Eureka instruction manuals for sale on eBay.
From what I remember, Eureka 1400 series uprights made their debut in the mid 1970’s. The 2000 series started being sold in the late 1960s. At some point, Eureka added the 1900 series of uprights, but I often can not tell the difference between a 1400 vac and a 1900 vac. They both are basic budget Eureka uprights with Dial-a-Nap height adjusters, Style F&G dustbags, and foot operated power switches on the motor hood. KMart often sold special edition 1400/1900 Eurekas, but they were coloured differently and were given model numbers in the 600 range. |
