Does anyone know where TTUEE2006 aka Tristar is these days? Why did he abandon Youtube?

I am aware he sold his Tristar CXL to a collector overseas and he has gotten rid of a lot of his machines before he left the platform. Bear in mind I was 12 years old when this happened back in 2009. He ended up leaving because he accused me of stalking him on Flickr when it came to his garage clean-out, but I cannot confirm if this happened. I'm surprised nobody has archived his videos for reuploads and the website he made appears to have vanished without anyone noticing.

I remember him. I always had issues with him that led him and a few close friends of his to block me on YouTube, dating back from when I first joined VacuumLand in 2009.

But he was also the one who pioneered installing the old aluminum fans into the Kirby G-series. In an e-mail he had sent me upon him being kicked out of VacuumLand, which was about six months after I had first joined, he told me the aluminum fan was easiest to install in the Generation 3 and the G4, since these two had the fan case that used the old-style O-ring from models Sanitronic VII to Legend II, while the G5 and up used a newer fan case with the thick "Unigasket" and he told me the aluminum fan was more difficult to install in these later Gs.

He was the one who bashed the Windtunnel machines for being loud and lousy cleaners (IIRC). What he needs to realize is just because the Windtunnel is loud does not mean it is a lousy cleaner.

Offense but the wind tunnel isn't as good in quality or performance as the convertibles or DAM machines. I will say it's a good vacuum but it's not great like hoovers before it were.
I did have a 100th anniversary version I got for free. I got it for free because it wouldn't power off. I plugged it in and found the on off switch and it turned on and off. I gave it to a employee I was the manager over. She didn't have a vacuum as her electrolux had issues. She gave me the Electrolux 9000 and it's hose was clogged from the bag to the power nozzle. I mean there was maybe a 1/2" opening at the end of the hose. It took me a couple hours but I got everything cleaned out and running great. The vacuum had an odor to it. I should have kept it as it was a great vacuum. It's just the cleaning of the hose was really bad. I blew out the filters and bag area and donated it to a local thrift store.
I went off track but the wind tunnel was dark blue and really good looking vacuum. I'm glad she could use it because I have a lot of vacuums, I got it free and she really needed one.
It was a good vacuum but not the gold standard it's older vacuums were.

TTUEE2006/Tristar is also someone who never liked Bissell or Dyson...or anything bagless.

From what I read of that guys comments on Google (he used the same username everywhere) it seemed like he spent his entire life complaining about everything. Virtually everything he said was ranting and complaining, hate this, hate that.

Is this the guy that started his own vacuum forum after he left here? I remember someone with tristar in their name bought their own website as an alt page. That site had some really good archival material. There were years of Hoover brochures that could be downloaded. It was short-lived and the site went dark soon after I found it. I can't remember the name unfortunately.

I think y'all are onto something.

Not to mention, TTUEE2006 aka Tristar aka Eric was also the one who had no love for the Hoover Elite machines. What part of just because the Elites are loud does not mean they are bad did he not understand? Same thing applies to the Eureka Bravo/Boss Lite machines, being loud does not mean they are bad.

I think he is negative nancy, bashing machine other collectors seem to like. Granted it's his opinion, but it makes him very biased and ungrateful. I think if he were to work at a vacuum repair shop, he might say something different.

Haven’t watched his stuff, but you’re right; you have to have repaired a vacuum and gotten a chance to seriously use it or similar machines from the same company before passing judgement on it. That’s how I formed my opinions about different brands, and the whole bagged vs bagless conundrum.

Not to mention, he is not a fan of bagless. Most collectors agree with him on that.

Not to mention, his Flckr pages are not even there. I was 12 years old when I found them.

I hope you are not confusing him with Jason Huber aka "Jae De Vine" (1926700, Spiritof76), who also died recently.

I don’t believe I am. I actually bought Eric’s sanitaire canister off of him with the eureka express style nozzle, there was only email exchanges and that was back in 2009ish. I remember asking someone about him and they said he passed.

If it is true that he (Eric) passed, then when did this happen to him?

Jason Huber

Sad to hear he passed. I offloaded my collection to him when I moved to California.

Wow, Spiritof76 died? I remember he caused a big mess on the site for years, always starting fights until they banned him a couple years ago. Crazy what happens.

If anyone knows his full name and where he lived, just google those on their own and look for an obituary or add "obituary" to the search string. Maybe if he did die the obituary would pop up.

I don't know about spiritof76.

I will spare everyone every detail, but no… As far as is known to the world, Eric is doing well, keeping to himself and staying busy running the family business.

I'm glad Eric is still alive and well. He could've returned to Youtube, just take his videos in a different direction.

This went from wondering what happened to an older collector to he was negative to he had passed away.
I encountered spirit of 76. I do know he had been banned under other usernames. I don't know the other usernames but I do know after his spirit of 76 account was banned he had another user name he used. My condolences on the spirit of 76 member. If he is alive I wish him well.
People mention you have to work on vacuums to have an opinion on them. Alot of people don't like sharks yet a very high majority of them have never worked on let alone repaired one. I'm thinking to myself I have never owned ot worked on electrolu vacuum but dislike them. Pot meet kettle.

Jae did previously register here as "1926700."

On his last account here, "TheSpiritof76," in 2018 he insulted me (even though I had him on my hidden members list) for replying to an eBay auction of an NIB Eureka Mighty Mite canister. It was the final straw for me and him after he sent me e-mails threatening to call the FBI out on me, none of which I ever responded to. I let the site admin know of this, and he was promptly banned from the site, but I remained terrified of him for a while even then.

That was a long time ago. I believe there was some drama between him and some of the VCCC board members back when they were running Vacuumland. Some parody Youtube videos were made. I believe. I could be wrong. I did enjoy reading his posts and watching his YouTube videos back in 2009. Yes, Jason and Eric are not the same person. Very different people and different states.

Post# 446362 , Reply# 28   9/21/2021 at 12:22 (947 days old) by wstonehocker96 (North Carolina)

Eric left Youtube because he told me I was stalking him on Flickr. I was 12 years old when this all happened, and I know, I was mentally ill back then. So apparently, I was not held responsible.

That's okay. If anyone still talks to him, what are the odds of him uploading his videos onto Vimeo?
