Finally managed to get a machine that is rarely seen (at least around here). The Singer Dual Capacity Cannister model C4 (1961-1964). It was the Mid Range machine at the time and the Singer Sewing Centers seem to have leaned more toward selling either the top of the line Golden Glide (C3 then C5) or the economy model (E3 then E4).

It was unusual in that it was Green (to match the mid range sewing machine) instead of the Tan and Brown like the rest of the range which probably contributed to the small number being around. After all - you wanted your sewing machine and vacuum to match didn't you LOL>

So far all I am missing is the Crevice tool, the cardboard accessory kit (which it had in addition to the accessory clips on the machine) and the instruction book.

Cool looking machine! Love the vintage colors! The hose kinda looks like the pattern on the 1205 hose. Are you able to source bags for it? Is it a suck the nails out of the floor board machine or just mediocre suction?

Nice vintage vac, Doug!

Made by Eureka, correct? The green colour was also used by Eureka in the 1960's - this kind of looks like a Roto Matic tub vac from the era.

Hi Brian:

Yep made by Eureka to Singer's specs. Same as the rest of the cannisters of that era.

Hard to miss the Eureka-style tools and step-on power pedal. Hope you can find the tool carrier - would be great to see what it looked like! I don't think it will be difficult to track down a matching crevice tool....good luck on the hunt! :-)
