Hi!
I just bought a Hoover U4349, serial number 00094518, and was wondering when mine was manufactured. The original sales receipt from Ernst Home Centers is dated 1-21-83. I'm curious when it would have been made. Is there a database of Hoover serial numbers? If there isn't, I'd be happy to help create one. | ||

You can use newspapers.com and keep going through the years until you find the first mention of it. September 2, 1982 was when it first was advertised.
