Hi Bill (eurekastar),

Would you happen to have any kind of parts lists available from the 1940s and '50s covering the Kirby models C, 2C, 3C, 4C, 505 and 508?

The reason I am asking is: the light cap on my 505 also has a locking clip on the left-hand side, which is held in by two #8 screws. Neither this left-hand clip nor the two screws holding it in are made mention of in any of the Kirby parts lists I have.

On my 515, the light cap now has an angled socket held in with only one #6 screw (same as models 516 to Classic 1CR), and that left-handed clip is no longer present.

Pictures of the inside of the light caps from both machines attached for your convenience.

Please share those vintage Kirby parts lists with me at:
benjamin.marioe1@gmail.com

Thank you,

Ben
