Helene,
The model number you found on your machine means it has a three-wire cord for heavy duty commercial use. May I ask what the serial number of your 3-501 is, please? The exact replacement part you are looking for would be 2-050240-201. Good luck! Thank you, Ben This post was last edited 07/03/2021 at 01:44 |

Depending on how bad the original bag is, maybe it could be patched. It might not be pretty but it would be functional. If you could post some photos, maybe we could give you some ideas of how it could be fixed. There are some folks here on Vacuumland who have sewn replacement bags for antique vacuums. Maybe one of them could use your damaged bag as a pattern to to sew a new one.

Turn bag inside out with hand opposite of the inside of the bag. Pinch the hole apply super glue. Let setup about 24 hours. You can repeat the process a few times.
I had cigarette burns in my back seat of my car. I don't smoke and they came with the car.. I had 2 or 3 holes about the size of a dime and it worked. |

the Royal style H disposable bags I believe are still available...they would go inside the cloth bag and catch the dirt so the compromised cloth bag wouldn't leak. CLICK HERE TO GO TO Centralvacs1928's LINK |
