Can anyone tell me what the original Kirby Omega Bag ACTUALLY looked like? I know that it was pin-striped but I have only seen one so far and it was a long while ago. A customer just brought me an Omega that will clean up nicely but I think the bag is bogus...though it's pin-striped it doesn't feel like a Kirby to me and I cannot find a Kirby tag or mark anywhere.

There actaully three variations of the Omega bag...

I have had all three versions.
There is the Yellow/greenish colored one, similar to the original Classic, I have noticed though that this particular bag, when filled up with air, was considerably larger than the other two versions. I have one and instead of just one seam down the back, there is also one on the side, almost like an extra panel of fabric was included.

Then there were two different ones that both used beige bags, one with little rubber pellet type of design all over the bag, and then of course, the rubber pinstripe model.
All bags had the Kirby patch on them that read KIRBY CLASSIC in the traditional Kirby font of the time, and there was also the "Omega" symbol in them as well..

It seems like they all varied in size now that I think about it..

The gold bags where HUGE
The pinstripe bags were usual Kirby size
The pellet design was considerably smaller to me.. like the Original bags on the Tradition.

Just my personal observations for ya! Hope this helps...

Cory

Cory...then my suspicion is correct....The bag on there now is a bojack but it's a damn good one! I will try to take a pic of and post it!

Take some pics of yours.....I would love to see that extra seam thing.....Are those HUGE bags the same as the Kirby Classic gold bags?

The Omega bags, to me are actually larger than the original Classic Gold bags.. and the material seems to be a bit thinner.. but i have seen several Omegas with this same bag on them.. I will try to get some pics if I can.. I need to post pics of my DS 80 I had refurbished as well.. I'm tryiing to get everything caught up for school though, so we will see!!! Since I have had to recently end my relationship with my partner of almost two years, I have had to move so , most of my Kirbys are in the attic of my brothers house.. except my DS 80, Legend II and my grannys Heritage. those all mean too much to me to leave up in the attic! And yes.. the DS80 rode in the FRONT seat on the way over to my brothers house :)

Last break up I had forced me to sell my entire collection... I REFUSE to let that happen this time.. they are my babies!!!!

Thread 4097 in the Contemporary forum.. there is a pic of a Classic Omega being used with the gold bag on it.. check that one out.. it is a front shot so it looks similar to othr kirby bags, but from the side, you can tell they are bigger..
