Anything I think sweet aire cap and rotor were red. The wheels i think 60 and 61 were red. The red hues are different but I have old red wheels from 560 and 561.
The 70s wheels would have the little nob pretruting. The trim could be painted. I actually have a red bag topper but bag toppers came in 562. I know the classic 3 has a distinct shape. I wonder if it was a replacement for original. |

I have a D50 that was "rebuilt" at the time the Classic III was new. The trim was red, but a slightly lighter, more vibrant shade, much like this 560. I think this was rebuilt during that time. Your red bag top was from one of the rebuild kits sent to vac shops in the 70s and 80s. I've also seen them in blue and I think they offered a green one. Reply 22 here: www.vacuumland.org/cgi-bi... |
