In about 10 days my son and i get on an airplane and say good bye to San Diego for good.
At this point i don’t have time to sell off my vacuum collection and so i am giving it away to anyone and everyone who shows up.
No shipping at all whatsoever, sorry no time.
I really just want to save as much from the scrapper as possible.
Contact me if you can be here in the next week or so.
Mostly i have vacuum from the seventies on up....Kirby, Hoover, Sanitaire, Oreck, Fitter Queen, Electrolux, Panasonic, Kenmore, Interstate, Simplicity, Riccar, on and on....canisters, uprights, not to mention my favorite...commercial vacuums!
Probably 150-180 vacuums in all.

Ideally we all converge on my storage garage over the weekend and disburse them in the span of two or three hours depending on interest.
Whoever takes the most gets first pick. If someone wants them all, step right up!
Public Storage, Sorrento Valley, San Diego.

There is Goodwill, Restore, charities, etc. Put an ad in the paper and on Facebook Marketplace.

I'd love to come by and grab some. I don't have a lot of space, so I can't take many, but still.

I'm up in Vista so it wouldn't be too bad a trek for me.

I will make sure to arrange a time each day this weekend for people to pickup what they can.
If you can take 20 plus vacuums, i will make time for you as your schedule demands.

Any "House Clearance" outfit will clear them for you.

Those guys have the time, transport, and energy, to clear anything that'll make them money. They often take away scrap stuff as part of their deal. You may even make a buck or two!

The vacuums will end up on eBay, Craigslist, Boot fairs...
Certainly no need for the scrapper!

I've seen companies who'll sell stuff on eBay for you.
They photograph it all, research value, and deal with the buyers directly, and handle postage etc.
Of course they take a hefty percentage, but it might be worth looking into? Especially if they'll collect the lot!

I will give to charities if i have to, but ever since i donated a (at that time) recent Filter Queen minus attachments, i hesitate. What happened was i donated my items at the thrift store and left. Not long afterward i feared i had left something in a suitcase i also donated. I returned just minutes later to the thrift store. They directed “out back” where i was stunned to find both the suitcase and the lovely FQ already in the dumpster.
“We don’t have room for everything” they said.
I believe it.

We have some customers, “frree” reduces the haggling a good amount.
Still haven’t gotten near the bottom of the pile (cough Kirbys cough).

Feast you eyes on these:

The pictures start after most of the vacuums had been loaded.
There were about 8 Filter Queens, a dozen each concept 1 Kirbys, royals...
Decade 80’s, Convertibles, so many more.

Keep on top of your hoard kids...it depends on circumstances and situation, and my situation changed...
and so doing turned the source of great joy into the source of a great burden for me.
Now i feel free.
I hope these vacs ultimately find a good home.
I can say the gentleman who put 3 times as many vacuums in the rental truck than o thought possible was a god send and will be as good as anyone for the job of distributing them on to the food homes i mentioned earlier.

Peace out

What was the other vacuum you took with you? I saw your other thread over on automaticwasher.org that you use the black Eureka The Boss ESP Self-Propelled upright as your main vacuum.

Anyways, best of luck to you! Looking forward of hearing more from you on the other site:)

I took the two Lux uprights you see in the photos under a plastic cover...one for each floor.
I also have a new in box Hoover Conquest (or something close) commercial vacuum i will probably take unless it sells ($150) first.
The black Eureka was sold....what a cleaner.
