Hi all…it’s been a while since I’ve posted much but my person who got me into vacuums…(my Father gets all the credit) passed away in January from an unexpected hemmoragic stroke. And due to covid…I did not travel to see my Mom until just now. I live in Dallas but Mom lives in NJ. I’m actually posting from here in NJ right now. So Mom is getting older and was complaining her vacs are hard to push and so I took her Electrolux power nozzles over to our local Aerus branch and Rich at the Denville Nj location put a new brush in for us and now it works very nicely…it’s almost self propelled Mom says now and was amazed at the difference the brush made. It’s the L shaped style which Rich said is the easiest to push as it won’t stick to the carpet as there is better airflow channels. We have a PN 4a but that one sticks to the carpet and Rich said there isn’t much he can do to alleviate that based on its design it will be prone to stick to oriental rugs like we have especially if it’s humid.
Meanwhile, being the vacuum nut I am with my primary preference for Aerus/Electrolux, I decided to chat with Rich for some time about my collection and various experiences in the family and asked him if the pigtail hoses for the model F,G,R,and L are still available and he checked his computer and YES, they indeed are…however, he said they are likely special order as even his demand for them is low these days so he doesn’t stock them but if I need one, he can order it. The system showed they are currently backordered but he thinks that is due to the covid mess as a lot of parts are on back order.
So…this is GOOD NEWS for those of us who love our genuine Electrolux rubber hoses and want to get one for our machines that require this particular hose!
Thank you Jo for that information on the pigtail hoses for Electroluxes. I know matching colors is not going to happen, did he say what color they are? Good to know they can be ordered!
I also wanted to say that I'm sorry to hear of your fathers passing,RIP
