I got it apart! I had removed all of the screws, but, just like every part on this flood damaged vac, it was frozen in place. Some tapping on the rear shaft end got it right out.
Were you able to get the stator out? The inside of mine is filthy, and I do not see any bolts or screws that keep it in. Could just be seized, I'm not sure. Looks like the same stator as your Thor as well, was that the same kind of set up? Thanks! |

I'd like to get it out, but I do not want to risk damaging it. Are they the tabs like the one shown in the 2nd pic(below)?

I got it out! Since this Torrington would need several parts to be remade, I figured for kicks I'd remove the identical coils and try them in my Brilliant Suction Cleaner. It worked!!
The Torrington will be for parts for now, until I find another one, or an early Royal stator to use. Its amazing how many vacs use the same internals. I could not have done it without Kyle's help, thank you so much!! Thread coming soon! |
