~ In all my many years of being fascinated with vacuum cleaners, one device I've never had occasion to use is any of the various moth-eradicating attachments that were offered with most major brands. I've had a variety of them over the years mostly for display purposes but never actually needed to use one. |

Hope the mothballs do the trick for you! It is unusual to need them these days, but I remember the days when most vacuum cleaners offered some kind of demother, either as part of the attachment kit or as optional equipment, and they all had different names for them. Besides Electrolux's Vaporizer, AirWay had the Whirl-Away Insector, Filter Queen had the Jet Demother, Hoover had the Mothimizer, Kirby had the Crystalator, Lewyt had the Snufficator, Regina had the Reginerator, and I'm sure most other manufacturers had them as well, but I don't know the names of the others.

I think maybe because of the city and pesticides you do not see moths as much as they used to be. At the campground in the country you would have moth issues with ones that fed on textiles, but here in the city the moths I see are just small moths that do not feed on paper or clothing and never any big ones. Rarely every few years I might see a bigger sized one. Also in case anyone did not know this - spiders hate the smell of moth balls too - so even if you do not have moths if you have a spider problem it helps for that too.
