Yeah, I love Kirbys and I have too many of them (a total of nine, ranging from a Heritage 1HD to a pair of Sentrias). They're kind of the HumVee of vacuum cleaners--big, heavy, powerful, durable, configurable and repairable. And no self-destructing circuit boards! Nice job converting the Tradition to take disposable bags. I did the same thing with my Heritage 1HD. It came to me with a nasty shakeout bag and I converted it using Heritage 2 parts I had on hand. I did eventually get a proper orange Heritage I bag for it, thanks to a kind and generous fellow vacuumlander. Now, it uses the same bags as all of my other Kirbys and could use HEPA bags if I wanted to put one in it but the multi-ply paper ones seem to work just fine for my needs. While a purist might cringe at what I did and maybe even call it 'bojack', I feel like I made a good improvement on the original without making any irreversible modifications.
