For quite a while now I have been watching a couple sets of attachments on ebay for Pre-War Electro-Hygiene models 80 and 94. Both sets looked pretty nice, one a little better than the other, and both priced higher than I could afford or felt they were worth. Apparently others shared my opinion, or someone would have bought them sooner.
This past Wednesday I was browsing on ebay and saw the price had been cut in half, and one of the sets had already sold, so I bought the remaining set right away! When it arrived on Saturday I noticed some damage to the carton, but when I unpacked it I found everything to be in good condition except the bag was missing the slide clamp. The set includes the hose (in nice shape except that the rubber ends are hard and cracked), suction and exhaust couplers, curved wand, crevice tool, upholstery nozzle with slider brush, sprayer, and small bag and handle for hand vac conversion.
This will help make either my model 80 or 94 Electro-Hygiene more complete. Here are pics of the attachment set (ebay photo), my model 80, and one of my model 94's.

Update On Electro-Hygiene Attachments

The bag clamp has been found! I was able to contact the seller and found out that she had placed the bag clamp in the extension wand, and apparently in such a way that it was stuck inside there. I tried shaking the wand and it didn't come out, then gave it a slight rap on the table and the clamp slid right out. And yes, the set as pictured is complete for the pre-war models, according to a brochure I have that was apparently printed in 1937. The floor brush, dust brush, and upper wand weren't added until the post-war model 230 came out.

Glad to see you are finding old pre war electro hygiene items. It will go nice with your already super rare great condition vacuums.
You should post pics of them with your vacuum if you get a chance.

Pre-War Brochure

hygiene903's profile picture
Just Wednesday I bought a brochure on ebay for Pre-War Electro-Hygienes and it arrived today. It is 2 years newer than the other Pre-War brochure I already had (this one was printed in 1939), but shows a different bag design that I had never seen before, with "Electro" printed in script. This brochure further confirms that my recently purchased attachment set is complete. Here's an ebay pic of one side of the brochure.
