I got it it for 30 bucks at the swap meet i though it was a steel for the price all I did to it was clean it I got a few more vacuums too I will post them soon . Is this a early one like a 37 ?

Your hose is catastrophically damaged but all that tat and kit for $30 was a great deal, especially when it has the cordwinder on it. Looks like it was seldom used.

That is a great deal with not only the box but also the attachment tray.Optional cordwinder and other items were introduced about 1948.I think your instruction book is copyright 1950.Original hose will look great to display and any good non electric US hose should make it clean like new.

The original carton alone is well worth the price you paid for the entire set. Congratulations! (Keep in mind that the cardboard is very dry and brittle. Treat it very carefully.)
