One of the past members of the VCCC, Andy Estal passed away today after a very long battle with cancer. Andy was one of a kind, he never gave up and always had a smile. He just celebrated his 51st Birthday and passed on his 8th wedding anniversary.
Andy was a shining light to all he met. There was nothing he was afraid to tackle. He would want this message to all of you...get checked, get your regular colon tests done, don’t over look your prostrate exams.. cancer is sneaky... |

Yes, he was so nice at our VCCC conventions, etc.
We were in contact just last week. He was looking into an experimental protocol. I told him I would, and DID, go to Mass for him and offer the Rosary, a powerful prayer. He fought an amazing fight. My sympathies go out to his husband, and rest of his family. A bright light has gone out. So, yes, get tested for colon, prostate, etc.............. This post was last edited 04/28/2021 at 10:42 |

Hi Morgan
Like you heard early this morning about Andy and was gutted to hear of his passing, he was known on here as Turboace, I first met Andy with you guys at the 2005 convention and onwards having been in contact through the yahoo and Hooverland groups since 2001, 20 yrs this year - where did that time go. Having followed his blogs since his diagnosis which coincided with yours, Steve and Ken it was like " Wow" this is all too much and then year by year you all made good recoveries I guess we all just waited for the ring of the bell for treatment complete with Andy. He certainly gave a fight like no other, but the knocks kept coming, even on his bucket list taking all the family away and his Dad unexpectedly dying, you just thought " How much more can he and the family take" . But again and again he got up and battled on, and even when his oncology team said time to rest he got up again and signed up for the new trail when all other options where exhausted. He loved his Electrolux along with his built in units and always ready to talk about Miele Best Filtration and laundry appliances lol. He loved endlessly, fearless determination and always kind thoughts and deeds for everyone which is evident by the outpouring of messages on his FB blog pages. Andy will be sorely missed by his family, Jeff his husband and all who knew him. Its sums him up by the # he used #FuckCancer & #InThisFamilyNoOneFightsAlone Rest In Peace Andy xx This post was last edited 04/28/2021 at 17:06 |

Mike,
Thank you so much for this wonderful tribute. Andy, Steve and I all had colostomy bags at the same time. We would would share stories and talk about which products worked best. Andy was the most genuine person I have ever met. He was sincere, compassionate and loving. I remember when we met at a convention, he was in a bad relationship at the time and never once let on. He had a positive attitude that carried him through life. His Light and Love will carry those who knew him far on their journey in life. He was great at saying " I love Jesus, but a curse a little" So "Fuck Cancer" Morgan |
