Hi everyone I just happened to come across an absolutely Mint Miele ambiente with the seb 226 head. Mint really is an understatement of this vacuum there’s only one small chip in the paint and the inside of the powerhead was spotless. I was trying to do some research into this powerhead but there’s very little information about it so I was just curious what everyone thinks of. Thanks

I actually liked it.

This was the power nozzle that came with my S324i 25 years ago. I didn’t use the height adjustment too so I went through those smooth belts pretty quickly. It cleaned very well and was such a better choice than the smaller power nozzle that was offered at the time. Cling tightly to that wand and cord setup because those are nearly impossible to find. Also, the piece at the top end of the wand that holds the plug is precarious and can break easily. It’s still the power nozzle Miele ever offered to have a steel brush roll.

Was the 226 produced by Miele? The brushroll reminds me of a panasonic and I know their older powerhouse uprights were made by Panasonic of Spain so i've wondered if the 226 was also made by them.

I just got the new belt in last night and ran it and was very happy with its performance, I’d say it cleaned just about the same as the seb 236 but I definitely missed the swivel neck and having a headlight on it. I also wonder if it was a Miele made product lit reminds me very much of the centech power heads used on some riccar canisters especially since on the baseplate the screw holes are in the exact same spot.
