I rarely see Bosch vacuum cleaners posted here. Thought I'd spice things up a little bit and post one of mine.

Bosch make some great budget canisters over here. I'd like to get one at some point.

I really like their wet/dry vacs, highly recommend them. I'm hoping to find one of these for my collection someday.

@panasonicvac Yes I really like them too . I have been thinking about buying one for my collection as well. There reasonably priced on Amazon.

I bought the Ultra Premium in 2004 when it first came out.

It came with Wessel-Werk’s large power nozzle. It was a great machine but I had no use for the 3 in 1 furniture/crevice tool. I sold it when the rheostat in the handle stopped working. I gotta admit that I really liked the the cord winder with the electromagnetic lock mechanism. Just unplug it and watch the cord go!

I used one for a few weeks about 12 years ago. Had the big Wessel nozzle. One of the Tacony executives who used to work for Bosch sent it to me to try. I gave it back. They haven't sold Bosch in the USA for at least 10 years, or maybe more.

I have a couple of Bosch kitchen appliances but that's it. Have never seen their vacuums.

I was left with the impression that the Bosch vacuums were more style than substance. I do remember that my dealer was a little ticked off when Bosch started selling vacuums on one of the shopping channels.

Latest Bosch Series 8 Pro Animal looks very good, but no powerhead. Only turbo brush available in EU. Made in Germany.

@luxlife I have a one of the XXL machines as well I rather like it. It's a shame you got rid of yours I really think for a classic thing to have now.
That 3 in 1 one tool is definitely terribly unpractical.

@dysonman1 I'm surprised you don't have one.

@suckolux If you can find one definitely get one.

@Mike811 We last got Bosch in 2009
I've been eyeballing that machine you posted I've been thinking about importing it.

Fallible electronics in the hose handle speed control...

This was really my only reason for selling it. It was a real chore to reach the company because the vacuums Customer service was through a different part of the company. Bosch replaced the hose under warranty but the handle was cracked in shipping. I pieced together a decent hose between the 2 but it just didn’t bode well for a daily driver and I saw it as a sign and opportunity to sell. It was and still is a very forward thought design concept.

I had no idea Bosch made vacuum cleaners before reading this thread, but since I mainly tend to concentrate on Kirby and Electrolux, it's not really an area of interest for me. Besides, I always think of Bosch more as a car parts company. I had a set of Bosch wiper blades on one of my cars until recently, when I replaced them because they'd dry-rotted, as wiper blades will do. Long, long ago, when I was into VW Beetles (the real ones with air-cooled engines in the back) the conventional wisdom was to use only Bosch spark plugs and fan belts.

And bought a new in box Bosch can with Wessel Werk power nozzle off eBay. Let's see how I like it. I know the nozzle will clean well.

Dysonman1, keep us informed.

I probably would've been better off without the speed control on the hose handle. Overall, it was a nice machine

Just found another one on eBay..............

This seller has an astounding collection of NOS bags for machines that I forgot even existed. He even has a Pigg Industries canister, but I think I'll pass on that.

That is the seller I bought my Bosch from. It was shipped the same day I bought it. Will take pics and give a review after I receive and use it. Alex put the idea into my head, and now I'll have one.

My new Bosch was delivered today. I'm so happy it arrived safe and unbroken. It's quiet for sure. Not as powerful as a Tri-Star CXL or an all-metal Filter Queen, but has great suction for sure. An 8 out of 10. The wand is lighter in weight than the very heavy Miele wand so that's a plus. I love the Wessel power nozzle. The three-in-one attachment is stupid. I'm buying an adapter so I can use my Electrolux flip-over dusting brush. The bare floor tool is very good. The bags are extraordinary. They are super plush and seem like they would filter anything and everything. The electronic cord winder is super cool. Overall, I love it. I would never have paid the $1000 they wanted when these were new, but for $200 it's a deal and a steal.

Tool adapter

The aerus tool adapter for the 1 1/4” tools is a perfect fit for the hose end on the Bosch and Miele.

My Bosch arrived safe and sound. It's interesting that this Wessel Werks power nozzle pushes hard on my rug, due to the tremendous suction. Such a quiet vacuum.

Bosch Vacuum

I ordered a Bosch vacuum just like Tom Gasko just received. I’m getting mine on Wednesday. What kind of bags do they take? Are you using Bosch MegaFit Super Tex Type G replacement dust bags with Microsa filter. Item # BBZ51AFG2U
Thanks, Bob.

Type P bags.

The type G does not fit! I tried you'll even get to see it in an up-and-coming video.
