I am breaking my own rule about not posting eBay listings because here's something that looks like it's going to get away because folks may not realize what it is, and may not be bidding on it because it's in somewhat rough condition. But it is worth saving. A little TLC would put it right in no time.

This is a transitional model between Versions 2 and 3 of the Electrolux XXX. (You can read about the various versions at www.137.com/lux/luxxxxxx.html....) It has the 1947-style runners that are attached to the tank body instead of the back cover and the bag chamber rim, and has the new flat filter pad instead of the older "basket-style" filter, BUT it still has the older 1937-39 front cover lever.

As such, it's a bit of a rare bird inasmuch as it's not the 1949-54 model most commonly seen for sale.

I don't have this particular variation and have been tempted to pick it up, but really now...

I hope someone will get this sweet old Electrolux give it a loving home!

Oh darn, I meant to correct the heading to this message. The machine is not a 1939 model but one falling between 1939 and 1947.

Thanks, Charles you'r so right on! It would be a great unit, for a real lux collector. I didn't see a cord? Maybe I misted it! I had one like that, in a box(not org.) with all of the
tools, hose and cord. Very rusty, so I let it go - - Don't
ask, I was moving and perging.
