My local Goodwill has a Regina Housekeeper Ultra for a while, guessing it from the mid 90s. Looks in pretty good shape but a few scratches. Plus it looks like it has all the attachments. I'm not that interested in it but I think these might be considered collectible. They wanted $9.99 for it.

Is it worth getting?

I grew up around some of them and I like their weird design. Sure they weren't great as a vacuum but they had their appeal. I believe a collector should atleast have one. I'd certainly pay 10 bucks for it.

They are pretty rare. Someone bought one out from under me on eBay a couple years back for $100 plus like $80 shipping.

They were very flimsy and very badly engineered and because of that, very little of them survive. The only ones are from collectors that barely ran them and kept them as display pieces. They are also loud like most of Regina's vacuums are, maybe that was their trademark. lol

Rare

There hardly rare by any means. They had over a 20 year run. Hoover and eureka made versions of them. Regina vacs are Canadian if I'm not mistaken.
I'd buy it if it's a vacuumm you would use.

Yeah I was guessing they are fairly rare because I have only seen a couple over the years. I've seen much more Electrikbrooms than Housekeepers. It's probably not something I would use though, and frankly, I don't find it all that interesting as far as plastivacs though.

But with Regina being out of business and it being from a brand I don't already have, it might be worth having it.

I'm sure if I don't buy it, it would likely get sent to the Goodwill Outlet store and then to the trash. I doubt anyone will buy it because it's not bagless and if they did buy it, they wouldn't know where to get bags.

I researched and was mostly correct on my history. Regina may have been made in america and rebranded Iona in canada. It was fantom technology after that. Oreck bought them in and later royal acquired them. I did search and there is a Regina brand vacuum probably tti or bissell.

Yes, I have seen Dirt Devil Featherlights but in black branded as Regina in thrift stores. I think they also had a BOL Dirt Devil upright carpet cleaner with the name.

Apparently someone else bought the name as they are now selling cordless stick vacs, air purifiers and mops under the name.

If it's still there next time I might get it.
