Hello, hopefully someone can answer my question. Last year before the shutdown I was able to acquire a Aerus Guardian Platinum. Now a year later, last week, I was able to acquire another one. Now here is my question, for some reason the one I brought last year, the power nozzle seems to do a better job at vacuuming the rugs. What I mean by that statement is that the power nozzle pulls up the rug, almost like my kirby. Almost lol Both power nozzle looks the same model N137X. I checked the one over for a possible blockage. I tried them both on the machine I recently purchased and the one just doesn't grab hold of the rugs like the one I bought last year. Even though they are the same model did aerus change something on them? Thanks

There were a couple different styles of brush roller for this power nozzle. I also have the same vacuum. I was not happy with the power nozzle as it was as I felt it did not groom the carpet very well. A friend in the vacuum business gave me a different brush roller and it made a big difference. Check both of your power nozzles to see what type of brush roller is in each of them.

I found the straight suction flip brush works better on our area rugs than the power brush on both the earlier platinum from 7 years ago and the new one we got the beginning of the month
