I recently acquired a Miele S248i.
This machine was made in 1988 in free Germany.

It's one of the basic models with no speed control or switch on handle.

The power nozzle motor was made in 1982 the power nozzle itself was made in Switzerland.

I have to say upon first use the machine was incredibly maneuverable and agile.
You can really see where Miele's reputation for lovely compact canisters started.I say started because this was the first model we saw with three casters.

@j3ttf Yeah they use the same basic variant of this for about 20 years.
