Here they are! This is the Polar Cub, the cord is mint with the exception of one taped spot near the motor, bag was shortened an inch due to holes. The original metal bag tie was also replaced, as it was too fragile to save. The removable brush strip on the bottom is amazingly still good! It weighs about a pound, and has suction on the level of a toy vacuum(probably why there aren't many around lol). This uses the same motor as the hair dryer, mixer, early erector sets, fan, etc that they made. I think this is an early one, as compared to others online that have a switch, this doesn't even have a place for one to be! The holes in the top of the motor are far too small for a switch to fit.

Sorry if the pics are hazy, this is the best light I could get when I took these.

Here's the AV5

I call it the cyclops catfish. No wonder they said it didn't work, the cord had about 100 places to short out! Once I replaced the wiring and added a belt, it runs beautifully! The bristles aren't great, but they do make mild contact with the carpet. If anyone has an NOS roller, or close to it that they'd sell, please email me! The bag clip was there, but it is missing the chain so I borrowed the one from my Torrington for now. It looks super cool when running, I'll have to take some pics of it running later. It is missing a couple handle bolts and screws so the grip twists around a bit. Nothing falls off though.

Now that the light is a bit better, here it is running. I forgot to mention the handle spring is broken, but I hear that is very common with these GE vacs.

Some great vacuums! I have gotten vacuums like that too, where the seller said they plugged it in and it didn't work, and the cord literally falls apart in your hands. I have no idea how they don't get electrocuted.

Where did they put the light bulb on that GE? I can't make it out. Is it behind the nameplate?

Hoover300,
If you post a pic of the broken spring I may be able to help you with that.

The bulb is under the badge, in front of the roller in a little "mouth". Here is the spring
