I don’t think it’s a mistake. Says $1 in the description.

What's amazing is that it

gottahaveahoove's profile picture
looks like it would 'clean up' well. After a complete overhaul, I'll bet it would sing once more. and, that poor kitty.

You could not pay me $1 to go in that house. A hoarder's nightmare! I don't mind hoarder houses but when they are filthy or food hoarder houses? Hoo boy. And yeah that cat being in a cage is so terrible :(

Do you think it might be joke? Jed Clampett?

I mean for a dollar I guess one couldn't go wrong. Is it rude of me to assume the smell of cat piss might be overwhelming based on the picture? Can anyone else assume smells based on a pic?

Well, by default, humans make an ASSUMPTION of smell based on picture.

Experience proves that being open to a face-to-face experience that may be different than our initial expectations
gives us
a realistic truthful situation that may be worse or much better than what we originally expected.

--------

Inexperienced people will look at a picture, draw a conclusion, then go to view a situation and look to validate their own original impression
rather than

having an open mind to what is actually there.

That is absolutely correct

Some people have pets, and you'd never know. Others. yikes!
I always ask my friend if they can smell a cat, telling them, "If you're my friend, you would tell me, right"?
That person's place looks very untidy, and the cat in a cage might raise questions.
It's amazing how we always can link scents, smells, odors with certain places. Some homes smell like food, baking, pets, smoke, cologne, perfume, (sometimes perfume AND what it's trying to cover).
For almost 2 years, my house smelled like glue, sawdust, grout, polyurethane, etc. during massive restoration. It was nice to smell food in it again.
I do think, though, that if you're going to take and post photos, you'd want to put your best foot forward. People notice everything, don't they?

And Kieran,

It's amazing that they'll offer a model 70, (sold sometimes for $80.00 new), for only a dollar. Of course, it has a 'genuine Hoover' bag, although, obviously not the original Delft Blue. So, this vacuum saw a good time.
I hope someone can get it and bring it back to life once more. It's a shame to see any vacuum like this die. But, it happens.
Best of luck to the kitty, too.

While I don't wish any harm to any animal, humans have allowed these poor creatures to over populate and now they are an exploited pest animal. At the very least I hope it is fixed. At least there was food, water, and liter box in the wire floored cage.
