The rust/almond color combination.
I always liked Hoover's pastel color combinations in the late 60s to the late 80s. It's worth buying if only for the artsy color. | ||

That model was probably cumbersome to ship when it was new. My grandmother had one in that exact color combination. It shipped in the oddest shaped box with the handle already assembled. I loved the way that machine groomed the carpet. | ||

The handle can not be removed, no. The power drive transmission cable runs through it. There was a post in the archives I seen in a thread from 2008 or 2009 where someone posted a photo of their new in box Hoover Power Drive and it shipped laid flat in a pyramid shaped box. A narrow top and a wide bottom, almost looked like an instrument case for maybe a cello.
