The rust/almond color combination.
I always liked Hoover's pastel color combinations in the late 60s to the late 80s. It's worth buying if only for the artsy color. |

My grandmother had one in that exact color combination. It shipped in the oddest shaped box with the handle already assembled. I loved the way that machine groomed the carpet. |

The handle can not be removed, no. The power drive transmission cable runs through it. There was a post in the archives I seen in a thread from 2008 or 2009 where someone posted a photo of their new in box Hoover Power Drive and it shipped laid flat in a pyramid shaped box. A narrow top and a wide bottom, almost looked like an instrument case for maybe a cello.
