In this video, go to 10:17
I almost want to say it's a Rainbow, but I don't think so. Anyway, it's 1975.

It's an early GE Swivel Top C-4, there's one in this thread from Hans:

Early 50s Ge Swivel Top with the clip on rolling base, I have an identical one (found, funny enough, in Lexington). The type of plastic likes get weird white stuff on it, even in a dry climate. Very powerful vac!

Ah, Ok thanks. I couldn't get over how similar it looked to a Rainbow back then. But I knew it couldn't be because the hose was on the top.

GE had a good idea with that base that could be pushed with the wands and carpet nozzle.

Strange that the art director for the TV show thought it would be okay to have a 20-year old vacuum being used in that scene.

Look again - it is a GE Swivel top but they have put a different hose and an electrolux rug nozzle on it.

Mark405 so you just randomly came across a 1970s One Life to Live video clip?  wink lol

I like perusing 60s - 80s programming as well for the retro feel and to view things like appliances.

I'm currently trying to find episodes of Chips because there were so many good scenes of L.A. at that time kind of like Dragnet or Adam 12.  But I can't find any episodes on Youtube.

I would not be surprised if they mashed together diff appli. parts.  That's a pink vac but the hose a woven asbestos gray and yeah, why did they use what would have been such an old vacuum then in the mid 70s.

The blond mother character also played Ellen's mother on Ellen's sitcom in the mid 90s.  She was funny.

[Ellen Morgan] "I thought you wanted us to be open with our feelings and discuss things"

[Lois Morgan] "Oh no, honey, that's what you wanted.  We were always perfectly happy keeping our feelings bottled up."

LOL

LOL - I was a HUGE days and GH fan years ago. I timer recorded them on the VCR and watched at night and was hooked for years. I haven't watched any for years. But me watching clips, that one showed up, while watching it I saw the vacuum. I can't believe in 1975, that that vacuum was 20 years old! LOL I would have never guessed that. It had that brown 70s color everyone loved back then.
