Probably the best and most mint condition Eureka I’ve ever seen. Not a lot of dirt has been through this! The plastic under the plate is still glossy! 🤯🤯

Remarkable condition

Wow, that's quite a find. Thirty-one years old and no battle scars! I like the gray and white color scheme. Very elegant indeed.

It really looks like it was just taken out of the box and the handle was put together and this is day one.

That’s a very strange square profile handle. The last time I saw a square handle on a Eureka fan-first upright was way back in the early 1960’s with the Eureka Super Automatic 260 I grew up with.

Is it possible that is a replacement? I have never seen that on a late model Dial a Nap/F&G Eureka. Bizarre......

A lot of our plastic Eurekas had this very handle around this time. So I highly doubt it’s a replacement.

Fascinating!!! Thanks for posting this...I had never seen this square plastic handle before. It's odd that Eureka kept the round shape on the base handle portion, rather than make it square too.

It just dawned on me: I think the Eureka Boss 1934 black Dial a Nap upright had a square black handle in the early 1990’s. I guess it was more economical to use this design for all the last F&G bagged Eurekas at the time - very easy to just change the colours in the manufacturing process.
