What crappy work. I'd be ashamed to put my company sticker on this mess.

I'm far from an electrolux know it all. It has a a valve like a hose. It has something covering electrolux. It points towards power nozzle insert but I'm pretty sure it had no power nozzle. The back was a cheap version of a royal power team. Then either a nss pig or a compact with a snout on the front.
It's more like a baskin robbins gone rotten.

So it's a Cattell's refurb of a Mount Holly Vac & Sew refurb of a Metropolitan refurb of an Electrolux.

The icing on the cake is its being sold by a flipper for an insane market value.

Similar to what Metro used to do. I’ve seen them rebuild luxs with the same Douglas powerhead. It looks OK to me as long as it works.

Yeah, Johnny Cash's "One Piece at a Time" is playing in my head right now.

Not awful

I expected it to be worse. The price those is definitely stiff for something with a hose that seems to not be properly fastened to its collar and equipped with a generic power nozzle and no other attachments. They will either let it sit at that price or eventually gradually lower it. For us collectors it’s certainly not something I’d pay for.

I’ve seen a similar automatic E on craigslist out of Boston with all its original parts but they have it listed right out of a dirty basement where it looks like it has sat for 30 years coated with dirt. They didn’t even attempt to clean it up before listing it and they could be so much more successful if they at least took some windex and paper towels to it.

So here's my question.....

Was that goofy looking power nozzle plug added by one of the Vac shops that have stuck their labels on it, or was it done during the Metropolitan refurbish? It's location seems to me like it was done by an amateur rather than a professional shop like Metro...maybe completely wrong in that assumption, but it seems that way to me. The cheap hose assembly appears to have lost any hold the glue had once upon a time, probably an easy fix there. I can't say it's the worst bojack job I've ever seen, but it's certainly not the best either! On top of that, I believe the seller has too many figures in their price....knock it down by $100, then maybe you'll get some real interest.....
