I haven't seen any on the web since 2020, theres people who claim to have one and they say they will make a video on it, but they end up never doing so, whats causing them to go extinct? did eureka make enough copies or did they just quit?

Honestly outside of catalogs, I've never seen the Eureka Dream Machine carpet cleaners around here. It seems the Hoovers and Reginas have been much more common.

You never know. I've gotten a few machines I thought I'd never find because I had never even seen any before, and suddenly one would pop up.

True that. Most of the dream vacs I want are out of my price range consistently. Then all of a sudden, poof, someone puts one up for sale at a price I can afford. A Hoover Concept Two w/ power drive has been my dream vac forever since I started collecting in 2017. Just bought one this month when one came up for sale on ebay for $50. 4 years later. Just as long as you keep an eye out both online and in the real world, going to thrift stores and yard sales and such, you never know where one might pop up at.

Yeah, I go to thrift stores regularly as well as estate sales, and it can take a few years but some rather unusual machines you have never seen before can pop in when you least expect it.

I try to use these methods over eBay, because generally thrift stores and estate sales tend to see vacuum cleaners (especially older ones and those that take bags) as utilitarian items rather than collectible, so they tend to price them somewhat cheaply. Mostly the only exceptions I've seen are newer high end vacs like Electrolux, Kirby or Rainbow, which sell for a lot (and tend to get sniped up quickly) as well as Dysons and other known European brands.

eBay is still a great way to get ones if you don't want to wait or the item is just too rare, but you will tend to pay the higher prices because you're competing with other collectors, as well as high shipping and packaging costs. So there are trade offs.

I actually saw one on the side of the road back in June, actually saw both a maroon and green one. Was going to pick them up but they were pretty nasty. Also spotted an Atlantis.
