Ok, for the Eureka experts, was looking at some Eureka vacuum commercials, does anyone know which Eureka power team this is? I really like the suction motor sound on this one, sounds similar to the Electrolux super J. Mike CLICK HERE TO GO TO n0oxy's LINK |

Here's another commercial about a Eureka power team, but I think this is a different one than the first commercial I posted. This one is really funny. Does anyone know which power team this one is? Mike CLICK HERE TO GO TO n0oxy's LINK |

The word Boss was used on a huge number of models. Typically, they were black with no headlight, short cord, but the biggest motor Eureka had. A good example was the first machine to be called a Eureka Boss - it was a cheap plastic based upright with a metal brush roll and a 6 amp motor. Short cord, no headlight, plastic handle. Sold like a dream for $99. Then they started using that name "boss" on many different models. There was a Victory Boss. A Bravo Boss. An Ironsides (canister) Boss.

Hi Mike,
The Eureka Power Team in the first tv commercial is Model 1266. The previous version, Model 1265 is almost identical except did not have the Edge Kleener feature which was basically two small notches or dents cut into the sides of the power nozzle's base plate to allow a bit of suction to do some edge cleaning. The 1265 Roto-Matic Power Team was rated number two in Consumer Reports rankings in 1974. It was only beaten by the Eureka Model 1255 Power Team in top place because it was was listed as a Best Buy - excellent performance at an economical price. This red 1255 was more basic - smaller bag inside a more compact Princess canister, more basic tools and no headlight on the Roto-Matic power nozzle. |
