I was able to stop at my storage unit today and get a few toys to put back in the rotation. Anyways that green rug pictured is a fairly recent acquisition and it’s a beast to vacuum. It’s a very long thick pile and most vacuums go through it like a wheelbarrow full of bricks. So what better vacuums to grab but the king of shag carpeting, the Quadraflex Powermatic!

Cameron, those are nice choices to use daily. I just picked up a Dimension 1000 Electronic back in the summer and really like it. Amazingly powerful! That old Hoover, the suction and airflow it has, combined with it's aggressive powerhead, will EASILY match a modern Kenmore or Miele for cleaning performance. Now if only those green bags didn't leak so much dust though...

I don’t know if it has a French cousin, but the tag says built in the USA.

Any tips for a hose that’s starting to wear near the nozzle?
