~ Here's a somewhat unusual Electrolux Model E that I haven't had out in a while. I saw it down in the workshop today and thought to bring it up to give it go around the house.
I think it's a late model inasmuch as many of its features are that of the E-Automatic that came after it, or else it's one that an Electrolux salesman custom upgraded to close a sale. • Vinyl woven hose instead of cloth. • Chrome machine-end coupler instead of hammertone. • Suction regulator valve on hose handle. • Swing-open cord winder (This one is hard-wired into the machine. I've also seen some with a short female plug coming out of the machine that the cord winder plug connects to.) • Combination floor tool has a spring-loaded connector neck instead of just a friction-fit connector. • Stabilizing "foot" around front caster to help prevent the machine from tipping over. It came from an Electrolux salesman who got it in on a trade-in some years ago and thought it was so nice that he kept it. As you can see, it's in immaculate condition. |
